The position of Inspector forms a part of the Resources branch within in the Rural and Regional Victoria group.
The Inspector performs a key role within the Regulatory Compliance team for the Earth Resources Regulation unit by regulating mining and quarrying operations in the Gippsland district. The Inspector provides advice on compliance activities including site visits, inspections and audits and investigates and assesses operations as per legislative requirements.
The Inspector implements appropriate enforcement measures to obtain compliance and reporting. The role may periodically provide assistance to other districts' regulatory compliance requirements.
To be successful in this role you will have a good working knowledge of the mining, extractive or heavy earth moving/ construction industry and earth resources legislation.
