Jobs at TAFE launches to support Victoria’s booming TAFE sector

uWorkin continues to lead the innovation of employment technology through the launch of Jobs at TAFE.  In partnership with the Victorian Government, uWorkin developed the Jobs at TAFE platform, a “one-stop-shop website for TAFE jobs” to support Victoria’s booming TAFE sector.

The platform compliments other Victorian Government job sites uWorkin has developed to empower the delivery of job opportunities within the state, such Big Build Jobs, a jobs platform supporting Victoria’s $30b of infrastructure projects.

Minister for Training and Skills Gayle Tierney joined Member for Box Hill Paul Hamer to launch the new website at Box Hill Institute.  At the launch Minister Tierney said "Free TAFE is making it easier for thousands of Victorians to get the training they need for the job they want. We’re giving more Victorians the chance to work in our growing TAFE sector with our new one-stop-shop for jobs.”

The Jobs at TAFE website brings together all TAFE teaching and administrative jobs from across Victoria to a single location.

People interested in working at TAFE can register to become part of the Jobs at TAFE community and receive job alerts, search for jobs in the industries they work in, and apply for advertised roles.

Thousands of Victorians are on the way to getting the skills they need to secure jobs in high-demand industries, with more than 19,000 students commenced in Free TAFE courses so far this year, driving a doubling of commencements in these courses compared to the same time last year.

Member for Box Hill Paul Hamer said “We’re rebuilding TAFE in Victoria and reducing the barriers to training so job-seekers can apply for the jobs most in-demand. It is terrific to see the uptake of Free TAFE courses at Box Hill Institute this year.”
