Posted: 28th Mar

North East Rail Jobs (www.northeastrailjobs.com.au) has launched to connect North Eastern Melbourne with jobs, apprenticeships & traineeships in the Rail and Construction sectors locally.

The Talent Community was produced by the North East Program Alliance (NEPA) and is a partnership between Laing O’Rourke, Fulton Hogan, Metro Trains Melbourne & the Level Crossing Removal Authority.

NEPA is an exciting Alliance to be part of, with Works ranging from rail duplications, stations building, and tunnelling, significant civil and structural scopes of work.

They believe in building careers – not just creating jobs and are committed to achieving a diverse workforce and welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Importantly, NEPA are looking to connect with people interested in starting or transitioning their careers to the Civil Construction industry via an apprenticeship or traineeship. To facilitate this, they are pleased to announce that the they have partnered with Apprentices Group Australia (AGA) to offer a range of apprenticeship and traineeship employment opportunities on the project.

All successful candidates are offered the opportunity to undertake a nationally recognised qualification and be well-placed to secure ongoing work on a range of government-funded infrastructure projects earmarked for Victoria.

They already have a number of successfully placed Apprentices, Trainees and Displaced Workers from the Automotive Industry on the NEPA project completing hands-on practical training and gaining valuable skills and knowledge of the industry.

AGA continues to provide training and recruitment support to the project, and is looking to build a strong candidate pool to fill these ongoing requirements, with a particular interest in candidates from the following cohorts: Automotive Supply Chain Workers, Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders, Refugee, asylum seekers and CALD backgrounds, and Disability Employment Services (DES) clients.
