Marine Detailer

Waterz Edge is a boat maintenance and management company that offers professional Marine Detailing and Vessel Maintenance with a reputation for outstanding quality and results. Putting it simply, they wash, polish, detail, repair and service boats, supporting their clients with all their boating needs.

With an office located in Queenscliff on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula, they work with clients from across the Geelong region and all over Melbourne, working at some of the best marina and harbour locations in Victoria.

A family-owned and run business, the last few years have seen consistent growth, and they are now looking to add a Casual Marine Detailer to the team.

The Role

The primary duties will involve washing and detailing boats on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis for clients on maintenance programs.

Other responsibilities, depending on your skills, may include cutting and polishing boats, sanding the bottom of the hulls using electric sanders/grinders and the application of Antifoul and Propspeed using paint rollers, brushes and airless sprayers.

About You

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years detailing experience, preferably with boats, but experience in automotive detailing or the smash repair industry would also be appropriate. Completion of qualifications in Spray Painting would be a bonus. Experience with machine polishing/buffing is essential.

You must have a current Driver’s License and Police Check. A Boat Licences or First Aid qualifications will be a plus.

A strong customer service focus with both clients and other team members, allows you to influence others and resolve issues.

This is a physical role, so you must be fit and full of energy. You will also need to be comfortable with technology.
