Golder has a new opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Global Mining Team, based in Perth on a full-time basis. This role will project manage mining projects from concept and scoping stages though to detailed design and construction, with a focus on tailings, mine waste, mine closure, heap leach and other similar projects based in WA, with opportunities to work nationally and internationally also.

Key Duties And Responsibilities Include

  • Delivering of major projects through management of key stakeholders and contractors;
  • Cost management of projects, including earned value management analysis;
  • Schedule management, including baseline schedule checks and critical path analysis;
  • Change management including identification and implementation;
  • Quality management in accordance with Golder Systems including document and data management;
  • Stakeholder management, including other Golder consultants, client and sub-contractors;
  • Providing recommendations for improvement within projects; and
  • Providing health, safety and environment leadership to the project teams.

, Qualifications, and Experience
  • Bachelor degree or similar in civil, geotechnical or environmental engineering;
  • Postgraduate qualification in geotechnical engineering or area related to tailings management would be an advantage and at least 10 years experience;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) would also be advantageous;
  • Registered Chartered/Professional Engineer or Member of a related professional body;
  • Skills with scheduling software programs (primarily MS Project), including resource loading and tracking capabilities;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including concise report writing;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and networking capabilities; and
  • Proven track record in technical excellence and meeting client needs.
