We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and professional person ready to join our Community Volunteer team. You will be part of a dedicated team improving opportunities for older adults and younger people with disability, including people with mental illness, who are residents of the Clarence community.

You will be undertaking a range of administration and program activities supporting staff and volunteers to assist program consumers to stay in their own homes and connect with their local communities.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • The ability to establish and maintain a service schedule (roster) and liaise directly with consumers and volunteers to ensure the smooth provision of services in a timely manner.
  • An understanding of the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and Tasmanian Home and Community Care (HAAC) Program.
  • Previous experience in completing case notes to a high standard, and practical understanding of the legislative requirement to keep well maintained and up to date client files
  • The ability to support the assessment of potential consumers and to develop appropriate care plans.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to engage, support and maintain volunteers.
  • Time management, reporting & organisational skills.
  • Good computer skills.

A base salary between $55,403.42 and $61,321 (pro-rata) will be negotiated with the successful applicant plus 12.5% superannuation. This is a permanent part-time position, working 32 hours per fortnight.

Successful applicants must be prepared to undertake a National Police Check and working with vulnerable persons check (if required).
