Relationships build success and we are looking for our next relationship builder to join our fleet managing team, as a Maintenance Fleet - Team Lead. Overseeing our maintenance team and R&M expenditure nationally, you can be based from our location in Hamilton.

You'll primarily ensure fleet assets are kept fully maintained and compliant but will also be jointly responsible for the effective management of key maintenance partners with our regionally based teams. With a big customer focus, you'll ensure all relationships, both external and internal are looked after and enhanced by offering continual feedback, maximising availability, and return on investment.

About the role
You'll be focused on developing relationships with internal customers, external service providers and suppliers to ensure we are delivering a cost effective repairs and maintenance via our supply network. Other day-to-day activities will include:

  • Management of repairs, maintenance and compliance in order to maximise up-time
  • Proactively managing accidents and incidents whilst keeping our end users informed and mobile
  • Evaluation of repairs completed, job scopes and extracting maximum value from our external supply network - ensuring effective cost management
  • Collaborating and contributing to operational meetings to bring new ideas and assist with creating new and effective ways of working

About you
As an experienced relationship builder, you'll bring your adaptable and flexible communication and negation skills with customers and major suppliers . You'll couple this with:
  • Experience in managing assets which could include plant and equipment fleet
  • Demonstrated planning and organisational skills
  • Clear understanding of leadership behaviours that empower others
  • Advanced to expert level report and insight creation by merging data from multiple platforms
  • Heavy mechanical or engineering background is desirable
