Relationships build success and we are looking for our next relationship builder to join our fleet management team, as a Finance Fleet - Team Lead. Overseeing our fleet support finance team, which processes our accounts payable, financial transactions including journals between businesses and the supply networks nationally, you will be based in Hamilton.

You'll primarily ensure that all financial functions are carried out accurately and timely, while also supporting, mentoring and developing team members.

With a big financial focus and strong attention to detail, you will develop and build strong relationships with both external and internally. You will also be jointly responsible for the effective management of key suppliers.

About the role
You'll be focused on delivering of exceptional customer service, with all queries and general inquires being responded to in a clear, concise and timely manner. Proactively manage all finance queries on behalf of the fleet team. Collaborating and contributing to operational meetings to bring new ideas and assist with creating new and effective ways of working.

Other day-to-day activities will include:

  • Costs reviewed and journals to be processed
  • Profit and Loss forecast and actuals to be completed
  • Review leasing contracts
  • Approve hire and finance invoices
  • All invoices to be processed accurately within the agreed timeframes to enable payments to be processed on a monthly basis.

About you
As an experienced Accounts Payable and Finance leader, you'll bring your adaptable and flexible communication and negation skills with customers and major suppliers.

You'll couple this with:
  • Experience interpreting and review financial information
  • Demonstrated planning and organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Clear understanding of leadership behaviours that empower others
  • Produce financial reporting
  • Experience in reconciliations
  • Experience in documenting process and procedures
