The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Conference Centre/ Function Coordinator to join our dynamic and professional team. This role will see you coordinate all functions held at our Sydney CBD office. You will utilise you customer service experience, demonstrate your attention to detail and organisation skills to deliver exceptional functions for our members and stakeholders. Key responsibilities:



  • Assisting the Conference Centre supervisor with day to day operations of all Conference Rooms.
  • Function room set up and pack up- ensure rooms are set up to stakeholder specifications
  • Coordination of inhouse facilities for each function includes room set up, catering and AV equipment and any other requirements as requested by client
  • Quality checks to ensure all AV equipment is in working order
  • Maintain upkeep of on-site kitchen and storerooms facilities and manage stock levels
  • Assist with function related duties and tasks as required
  • Upkeep of all meeting rooms for cleanliness and amenities
  • Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Act as a key liaison point for members/customers/clients on the day.
  • Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation
  • Promote a safe workplace by recognising hazards and promoting general OHS practices.

About you

If you are a customer focused individual who enjoys working systematically and has outstanding attention to detail, this could be the role for you. You will be able to demonstrate:



  • Prior customer service, hospitality, function or event experience will be highly regarded
  • Proficient in setting up, using and trouble-shooting Audio Visual (AV) equipment and ability to learn new systems and computer literacy
  • A high standard of interpersonal skills, personal grooming and presentation
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills- verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to problem solve and work within in a deadline driven multi-tasking environment
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate highly regarded, but not essential as we will organise for you to obtain this
  • Full work rights to work in Australia
