The Role

We are looking for a Events Coordinator to join our NSW Events team. This is an entry level role where we will coach and develop you to deliver hybrid events (face to face and on line) for our members. The type of events can be really varied, so we need someone who is eager to learn. In this role, you will be supported to:

  • Set up events in relevant systems (CVent), manage registrations and delegate lists
  • Coordinate evaluation process and obtain delegate
  • Creating marketing materials and campaigns for various events in conjunction with the marketing team
  • Set up marketing campaigns in relevant systems, work with social media and other virtual communication options, sharing information with our members
  • Ensure venue contracts meet internal legal process requirements, manage event budget including creating and delivering purchase orders, liaising with suppliers (including AV suppliers, equipment and venues, supervision of on-site product delivery
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support local governance and member community groups and committees
  • Respond to Member enquiries, interactions and engagement
  • Assisting regional manager in the management and co-ordination of local resources

About you

  • Prior experience in a service delivery/ customer orientated industry i.e Hospitality, Events, Banking
  • A great attitude and growth mindset- a desire to learn is essential
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and you must have excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional ability to build relationships and networks at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems
  • Some Social media/ Digital literacy (e.g. pod and webcasting) would be highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skill both verbal and written
  • Tertiary qualifications in event management /hospitality/project managment will be highly regarded
