Are you a Registered Midwife or a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high quality care?

Nepean Private Hospital is looking for Registered Midwives or Registered Nurses for our Special Care Nursery. We have full time, part time and casual positions available. Applicants with a passion, for midwifery and neonatal care, along with the relevant clinical background and experience are encouraged to apply.

Our Level 2 Special Care Nursery is located within our Women’s Health Unit. Our dynamic team is proud to provide our babies, and their families the highest standard of care and support.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Deliver evidence based neonatal care
  • Work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team
  • Provide support and education to parents
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service
  • Ensure patient and staff safety


The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Current registration as a Midwife or Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Clinical skills and motivation to ensure excellence in patient care and customer service
  • Recent experience in a special care nursery or neonatal unit
  • A commitment to safe practice and quality patient care
  • Understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work both independently and within a team structure
  • The ability to act in a professional manner at all times

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current HSP & NSWNA/ANF Nurses 2015-2019 Enterprise Agreement.

Our commitment to quality and safety for our patients, staff and visitors is our highest priority. Applicants will be required to provide evidence of a current National Police check (within the last 2 months), a Working with Children Check, Health Medical assessment and Immunisation serology results prior to commencement.
