We now have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced people leader to join our People Shared Services team. This role is critical in providing human resources administrative support to our people, from the moment they join our team, throughout their entire employee lifecycle.

As People Services Manager, you will lead a small team to deliver a fit-for-Jetstar experience to our Team Members – ensuring accurate payroll outcomes and systems compliance whilst continuing to drive continuous improvements and a superior customer focus.

Reporting to the Head of People Shared Services, in this position your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a small team of People Services Advisors and Onboarding Advisors, to continually develop their knowledge, skills and support their engagement and performance;
  • Partnering with the Jetstar Payroll Manager to drive accurate payroll outcomes
  • Partnering with the Jetstar People Systems and Reporting Manager and counterparts across the Qantas Group, providing input into the design of fit-for-purpose people processes for Jetstar;
  • Utilising your strong internal customer experience focus to design, develop and deliver a customer service approach through People Services, including SLAs and metrics;
  • Working closely with policy owners and critical stakeholders to ensure that our people policies and processes are implemented, maintained and communicated;
  • Leading and delivering a range of critical People Services projects, partnering with multiple stakeholders across the Qantas Group

To achieve success in this position, you will bring the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience directly leading a team, ideally within a shared services environment.
  • Exposure to developing and delivering internal KPI’s.
  • Experience in a complex operational organisation in a role focused on accurately maintaining critical systems, processes and data.
  • Comfort in navigating HR systems and processes, ideally Workday or SAP SuccessFactors, highly regarded.
  • A superior customer focus and interest in building effective relationships with several stakeholders across the Jetstar team.
  • Prior experience working in payroll or in partnership with payroll highly regarded.
