We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our Digital Team.

The Senior Automation Test Engineer will help drive these outcomes by maintaining the automation testing program at the delivery team level. Day-to-day activities will include supporting delivery planning, coaching other team members on test automation approaches as well as authoring and maintaining test scripts. Further, Automation Test Engineers work to evolve practices and tooling across the automation test discipline.

As a Senior Automation Engineer you will:

  • Manage / Create and enhance test automation frameworks
  • Analyse requirements, designing, developing, enhancing and implementing maintainable Automation frameworks on assigned project
  • Participate in planning, technical design review, estimation and requirements elicitation workshops. Define the automation test approach and test process to support feature delivery
  • Ensure that test automation framework and automation code adhere to testing best practices and coding standards
  • Be a champion of change and innovation to improve all aspects of testing
  • Support continuous integration through automation
  • Have proven command of various software testing methods, levels, types, and processes and where they fit in the overall system and produce development lifecycles.

About you
You will be an outcome driven, analytical problem solver who possesses excellent troubleshooting, stakeholder management and communication skills.

You will also have:

  • At least 8 years testing experience
  • At least 5 years test automation experience
  • Security and load testing experience highly regarded
  • Experience testing web based and client server applications
  • Experience with some of the below methodology and tools:

Programming/Scripting Language - Java, JavaScript, C#, CSS and XPATH

UI Automation Tools - Selenium Webdriver, Cucumber, Specflow, Test Cafe

  • Business Driven Development (BDD) framework such as Cucumber
  • Demonstrated experience in Backend API testing / interface: REST, JSON, XML
  • Manage, develop, maintain & extend our Test Automation frameworks
  • Provide testing expertise and advise to stakeholders and other team members to develop automated testing approaches that deliver the greatest benefit and coverage, with the least amount of maintenance and support
  • Provide high-level internal consultancy & technical leadership on testing automation toolsets
  • Proven experience in QE practices, understanding of functions in a development team, and experience working on large scale projects
  • Experience in test automation design with Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery tools like TeamCity, Bitbucket.
  • Experience in some of the following tools: Jira, Confluence, Selenium, Postman, SOAP UI, SQL, Rest, Protractor, Git, Browser Stack, Sauce Labs
  • Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android
  • Experience with benchmarking, load testing and reporting of application performance
  • Experience with cross browser, browser performance and accessibility testing
