About the role

As the Senior Cloud Engineer, you will have strong expertise in using AWS Services to provide solutions for application development and operation, while having a strong understanding of Cloud platform and the DevOps domain.

You’ll get the opportunity to work with solution architects, project managers, vendors and contractors to design, build and deploy new solutions and enhance our existing solutions. It’s an amazing role where you’ll work on bleeding edge technology and have a big impact whilst we focus on the migration of our legacy applications onto a Microservices containerisation platform.

About you

First and foremost, you're someone who values technical excellence and high-quality code whilst understanding the need for on time delivery to meet the needs of our business and customers. You’re serious about best practices and code quality and comfortable using cutting edge new tech. You’ve dealt with high levels of resistance before, and you know how to address it and push forward with positive results.

  • The successful candidates will be an experienced Cloud Engineer in AWS to deliver cloud infrastructure.
  • S trong DevOps experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines using a tech stack of GIT, AWS (EC2, EKS, RDS, ALB/ELB)
  • Strong experience with at least one scripting language i.g nodeJS, Groovy, Python etc.
  • Experience working with AWS, creating CloudFormation templates and end-to-end Instructure-as-code-automation.
  • Documenting practices, solutions, known issues, and common trouble shooting procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent social and communication skills, “can do” attitude and excellent analytical skills.
  • Experience providing technical assistance and support to other team members.
