Our Safety and Risk consultants have a deep understanding of process safety and risk management issues, and a long history of working with industry and regulators alike. We provide technical safety and risk engineering analysis and assessment, as well as safety management and safety case skills to clients in complex and high-risk industries. From strategic studies to support option selection for new facilities, to detailed engineering and operational scopes, safety is built in to minimise risks across the entire asset lifecycle.


And Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver process safety and risk engineering solutions that meet applicable statutory, regulatory specifications and company standards.
  • Facilitate workshops including HAZOPs, HAZIDs and LOPA.
  • Perform QRA and consequence assessments.
  • Complete formal Safety Assessments including Fire Safety Studies, Escape and Muster Studies, Equipment Survivability Studies to support the demonstration of ALARP.
  • Lead projects, supervise, mentor and coach team members.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, win work and contribute to the growth of the Melbourne Safety & Risk team.
  • Prepare proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules.
You Will Have
  • Experience and success in building and leading engineering teams.
  • A recognized degree in the relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • 10+ years’ relevant Safety & Risk experience.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas, Mining and chemical industries.
  • Experience in operating DNV PHAST software.
  • Excellent knowledge of the latest developments and technical innovations in safety & risk engineering to enable the delivery of best practice solutions and projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety & risk engineering, and good understanding of the requirements of other engineering fields.
  • Familiar with applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.
  • Formal HAZOP and LOPA / Functional Safety qualifications.
