Full Time Employment

Cronulla RSL is on the lookout for an experienced and dedicated professional to join our Duty Manager team. The role is full time, working a 4-day rotating week (including weekends), giving you the best of both worlds!

Cronulla RSL is an iconic Club boasting recently renovated modern facilities, amazing views and a multitude of facilities and services for over 30,000 members and 100 staff.

The successful Duty Manager will support and manage the day-to-day operations of the Club. This will include managing staff, dealing with customers, providing amazing customer service, ensuring the efficient operations of the entire Club, problem solving and maintaining a clean and tidy venue. The Duty Manager is also responsible for the safety and security of the venue as well as overall compliance, so attention to detail is paramount!

 The role will have the following responsibilities

  • Ensuring the efficient operations of the entire Club
  • Shift management of all areas of the Club, including understanding the Registered Club Award
  • Managing staff on shift and dealing with performance related issues
  • Dealing with customer issues
  • Providing amazing customer service and mentoring a culture of going the extra mile
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy venue
  • Overall compliance and the managing the safety and security of the venue
  • Report writing for both shift related and legislative related items

You will have the following skills and experience

  • Experience in managing a large team
  • Extensive shift management experience
  • The ability to multitask and extensive time management skills – balancing operational and admin related duties
  • Ability to manage a range of areas of the business, including beverage, gaming, events, TAB, Keno, promotions, cash control and reception
  • Current first aid certificate, RSA & RCG
  • Fantastic written and verbal communication
  • Ability to think outside the box and think on their feet

Essential criteria

  • A positive attitude and professional manner
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • 3+ years of management experience in a Club
  • Previous experience in Beverage, Gaming, TAB & Keno
  • Understanding of the relevant legislation
  • Effective staff and performance management
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
