About The Role

The Housing and Property Group is looking for a Principal Project Officer to play a vital role in leading the development and implementation of the NSW Government response to the Statutory Review of the Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2013 .

As Principal Project Officer, you will support the Executive Director of the Cemeteries Review Taskforce and be responsible for managing key stakeholder relationships across DPIE, the NSW Government, the interment sector and other key stakeholder groups to support the implementation of reform projects.

You will lead and oversee all aspects of project development and implementation of reforms arising from the Statutory Review of the Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2013 and ensure alignment with the overall goals and targets of DPIE and the NSW Government. Managing stakeholder relationships including Treasury, crown cemetery operators, Cemeteries and Crematoria NSW, local government and other representatives of the interment industry will be a key component to the role.

You will possess high level project planning skills, coupled with a strategic mindset, exceptional communication and demonstrated stakeholder management, experience in change management and reform and the ability to review, develop and implement policy.
