The Division

The Greater Sydney Division is redefining integrated transport choices to improve the lives of customers and communities, making Greater Sydney a better place to live, work and play. We have the single biggest place making opportunity at Transport in the coming years, reshaping Greater Sydney into a metropolis of three cities – Eastern Harbour City, Central River City and Western Parklands City - whilst also overseeing the Greater Sydney region as a whole.

The opportunity

Join this brand new team and play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of business performance projects and systems for the Branch. You will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the quality management systems to ensure they are working effectively and providing appropriate and relevant advice to the business.

This newly created role will play an integral part in positively influencing the transport network, and therefore, making a difference for our customers.

Your key accountabilities are:

  • Establish systems for recording, analysing and reporting on key business performance metrics, including the identification of positive and adverse trends in performance.
  • Develop the Branch business systems and drive systems improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the management of strategic, operational and business risks by developing risk models and profiles and using data mining techniques and tools to produce risk management solutions.
  • Benchmark the performance of business units and equivalent external bodies to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of performance management objectives, strategies and programs through consultation with stakeholders, to develop accountabilities, performance indicators and targets.

About You

As a business performance specialist, you will demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in the management and development of business performance management initiatives and systems, in a complex and diverse delivery environment.

Proven supervisory experience is essential, to enable you to provide professional leadership and guidance to staff engaged in the review and analysis of business performance.

You have impeccable communication skills, and the ability to analyse, synthesise and present information relevant to multiple audiences.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in management or equivalent extensive experience in the management of business performance projects and teams is essential.

Salary And Benefits

The salary for this position is a Grade 9 ($135,898 - $152,204) per annum, plus superannuation and leave loading.
