This role will be key to the success of a new, independent company which launched on June 3 on the NYSE, created through the spinoff of women’s health, trusted legacy brands and biosimilars. Fueled by its leading contraceptives and fertility businesses, Organon will invest in innovations that support the distinct health care needs of women today and into the future. Crucial to this success will also be its important biosimilars business, focusing on oncology and inflammatory diseases, while also maximizing the value of its trusted established brands portfolio comprised of dermatology, pain, respiratory and cardiovascular products in countries around the world where there is still great need for these treatments.

Reporting to the Managing Director, ANZ, this exciting and unique role is critical to the success of Organon as we build our culture and continue to shape and evolve our strategy. This is a truly unique opportunity to contribute in a role which has two distinct yet interdependent components, success in which will be realised through close connection and partnership with the ANZ leadership team and other key stakeholders.

What you will do:

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

§ Driving the Organon ANZ Strategy

  • Leadership of the strategic planning process and development of organisational strategy to ensure alignment with local, regional and global priorities and environment.
  • Engage, track and measure strategic success through the Objectives and Key Results framework and scorecard tracking.
  • Oversight of key projects and priorities emanating from strategy, and reporting locally to MD/LT and to Region/others as required to ensure delivery and outcomes are achieved.
  • Key role in building the narrative, content and materials for regional and global business exchange meetings.
  • Bringing external best practice, innovative ways of working and perspectives into Organon.
  • Lead key internal ways of working with the Leadership team such as LT meetings standards, governance and flow, agendas, off site LT meetings and people leaders engagement and skill building forums.

§ Leadership of Organisational Development

  • Engage the organisation in the strategy, vision and values through thought leadership, companywide collaboration and engagement as well as futuristic thinking.
  • Lead the development focus areas for the leadership team to ensure a culture of people first, innovation and entrepreneurship and results orientation .
  • Lead key development programmes to build capabilities through differentiated experiences.
  • Identify engage and manage relationships with the right external training and organisational development suppliers and consultants as required.
  • Relevant involvement in above market talent management activities as required.

What you must have:

  • Strong commercial background with 5-7 years’ experience in building culture through organisational development and leadership engagement
  • OR Strong background in organisational development with experience working with commercial teams and a willingness to learn (5-7 years’ relevant experience required)
  • Ability to connect with, communicate and collaborate across all layers of the business - LT + all CLT+1 team members / regional / global, and getting things done via non-hierarchical influence, excellent facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical capabilities, with an ability to problem solve, thinking holistically about solutions to complex problems and creating simplicity out of complex issues
  • Experience executing innovation and experimentation that add value to the organisation
  • Demonstrated understanding of strategy and innovation in a global, commercially savvy company. Previous pharmaceutical experience an advantage, yet not essential.
  • A skilled team player and an initiator, well-organised, resourceful and efficient with high energy
  • Digital and data savviness
  • Growth mindset, together with an experimental, curious and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Comfort working with ambiguity, and competing priorities and timelines
  • Ability to influence cross functionally and engage people in the strategic direction of Organon.
  • Degree qualified in relevant discipline: Commercial/Business, Life Sciences, Organisational Development. MBA highly regarded.
