An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Consultant- Placements to join the Marsh Workforce Strategies Placement team. This position will see you manage a portfolio of clients and work closely with the workers compensation claims and safety consultants You will report to the National Workers Compensation Placement Leader who is responsible for managing the team.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Manage a portfolio of Risk State, Seafarers and Excess of Loss clients
  • Negotiating premium rates with underwriters to ensure the most competitive rates are obtained
  • Work closely with internal (general brokers) and external (clients and underwriters) customers to delivery strong outcomes
  • Analyse, present and recommend the most suitable policy structures for customers
  • Prepare accurate proposals and project plans
  • Maintain strong day to day relationships with clients and client executives on projects
  • Assist clients with non-risk state policy support

Project Management

  • Follow, promote and facilitate the project management processes and procedures on all projects in accordance with the Marsh SOPs
  • Comply with company policy and procedures for timekeeping, expense reporting and billing
  • Debtor management

Business Development

  • Actively develop and generate new and expanded business opportunities
  • Provide suggestions to team for improving and enhancing business development activities
  • Identify cross selling opportunities and participate in cross selling initiatives as appropriate

Colleague Development

  • Support line manager and colleagues by peer reviewing their activities as required
  • Seek opportunities for self and colleagues to develop new skills and broaden and deepen knowledge

Revenue Generation

  • Produce revenues based on revenue targets and utilisation rate

  • Client Service – excellent delivery of technical, administrative and consulting support to internal and external clients
  • Change - awareness of environmental, financial, regulatory and social factors affecting company and clients’ operations and business and knowledge of internal company technological and product capabilities.
  • Commercial Acumen - an in-depth understanding of factors impacting on the delivery of services by the Company,
  • Planning and Organization – development and implementation of courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently and on time.
  • Drive & Self-Motivation - demonstrates a willingness to take on increased responsibilities and displays the ability to act independently
