Procurement Officer

Reporting to the Finance Manager, our new Procurement Officer will take responsibility for sourcing and purchasing goods and services to enable our business to perform at its optimum level. The position requires a willingness to take initiative and problem solve. Strong organisation, communication and negotiation skills are essential to deliver effectively in this role.

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Maintain adequate sources of supply for the business
  • Lead the benchmarking and bidding process - negotiating pricing/terms and conditions
  • Proactively manage the vendor contract life cycle
  • Develop metrics, tools, and processes to track and communicate efficiencies
  • Maintain Coupa system integrity and provide user support

Key to delivering at optimum level you will need to have:

  • Tertiary qualification in procurement, project management or business related field
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with a high degree of business acumen
  • A confident and clear communication style
  • Experience in negotiating
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Experience in retail
  • Previous experience or knowledge on the Procurement Software Coupa will be highly regarded

You will enjoy juggling competing priorities, demonstrate a high level of initiative, have excellent time management and communication skills and confidence liaising with a varied audience.
