ReturnToWorkSA manages the Return to Work scheme which provides insurance that protects South Australian businesses and their workers from the costs of a work injury.

As part of the Finance team, this unique role will see you combine your qualified accounting knowledge, business understanding and interest in information technology to deliver highly efficient and optimised solutions across the business.

This role supports the technical environment to ensure accurate and high-quality information for all stakeholders and ensures continuous improvement in efficiency and control for Finance and other business processes.

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting and Control, key responsibilities in this role include;

  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Maintain GL reporting structure, financial and budget report formats
  • Partner with the business to ensure the accuracy and integrity of cost centre financials
  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ability to undertake daily payment run imports between systems and resolve interface errors
  • Perform UAT and support systems upgrades and changes
  • Ongoing development, maintenance and improvement of the accounting system and reports produced
  • Interact and liaise with the IT team regarding technical and financial data issues
  • Drive improvements in data accuracy, reporting and process efficiencies ensuring the integrity of data
  • To have and/or develop a thorough understanding of systems processes and flows, enabling this person to be the "go-to" person for any finance system related queries.

CA or CPA qualified with appropriate accounting experience in a similar role, your excellent communication skills, and friendly, proactive and efficient customer service focus will hold you in good stead when dealing with diverse and broad internal customer groups.

Essential to the role will be your experience in the administration of financial systems. Previous exposure using Technology One Financials and XL One Reporting experience highly desirable.
