The Division

The Customer Strategy and Technology team within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.


The opportunity


Right now, we have an opportunity for Project officer Grade7 to be part of TfNSW’s Emerging Technology, perform project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects in line with established objectives.


Please note that this role is a fixed term full time role till end of 30th June 2022.


What you will be involved in,


  • Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project, plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans
  • Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning
  • Prepare complex correspondence, briefing notes and reports in relation to specific projects, initiatives and issues ensuring that submissions are accurate, timely and have appropriate signoffs

About you


  • Proven advanced skills in the Microsoft toolset including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc.
  • Experience in Project Controls processes
  • You have a growth mindset and are excited by new technology and innovation.
  • Proven project, interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent stakeholder management skills with a strong outcomes focus
  • Understanding of project lifecycle and methodologies
  • Exposure to Agile methods beneficial

Salary and Benefits


The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 7 ($103,965- $116,441) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
