How will you make an impact in this role?

As the Analyst of the Colleague Market Partner, you will be a key player in driving the overall colleague experience for our Australia and New Zealand based colleagues through:

  • Delivering a great colleague experience: Collaborate with COE’s, Colleague Strategic Partners (formerly HRBPs) and Strategic Capabilities and Servicing to ensure colleague advocacy and to drive an integrated and excellent colleague experience.

  • Growing the best talent: Grow the talent pipeline to fuel business momentum in the market. Strengthen colleagues’ capabilities through a market development agenda focused on targeted skill development and learning.

  • Developing new ways of working to unlock enterprise value: Focus on creating an inclusive culture and practices where our colleagues are empowered to deliver their best performance every day.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for data reporting, analysis of trends and insights on the employee life cycle, workforce demographics and Colleague Engagement to ensure we remain future focused and informed by facts.

  • Prepare presentation material for regular executive management and regulatory meetings, that conveys key messages with impact and is visually compelling

  • Supports the design and drive flawless execution of market-wide colleague development and engagement forums

  • Demonstrates a keen focus on and concern for the overall colleague experience at the market level and supports related initiatives

  • Supports strategic external branding initiatives (workplace/employer awards), global and locally driven diversity and inclusion initiatives, as well as internal branding at the market level

  • Identifies pain points in CMP processes, develops recommendations, and implements solutions

  • Provides local change management support for enterprise initiatives

  • Provides administrative support to the Head of CMP, including budget and diary management

  • Has awareness and understanding of the local culture and how things work within the market

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; must be able to navigate Excel formulas and pivot tables in Excel as well as expertly navigate PowerPoint tools to create visually meaningful presentations

  • Self-starter (action-oriented) with strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong project management and organization skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Collaborative; builds relationships and leverages them to drive outcomes

  • Excellent communication skills; able to tailor messages to the audience, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with influencing and conflict-resolution skills

  • Keen focus on delivering consistent and positive local colleague experience

  • Able to deal with ambiguity in shifting environments

  • Demonstrates a keen interest in understanding the business, market trends and financial drivers in the industries in which American Express competes
