Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for over 70 years. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the 4,100-megawatt Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and has recently contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through Red Energy and Lumo Energy. Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history, a nation-building renewable energy project providing on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Visitor Experience Coordinator to lead the team at our Discovery Centre and Cafe in Cooma. The Discovery Centre is a fast-paced working environment which attracts more than 70,000 visitors each year. The centre operates seven days a week and almost 365 days a year.
Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Communications, Marketing and Visitor Experience you will demonstrate experience in leading a team to achieve and maintain excellent levels of customer service and have the experience, ability and confidence to effectively coordinate changing priorities.
As a Visitor Experience Coordinator, you will be undertake the following duties:

Day-to-day coordination of the Discovery Centre team along with associated services

Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the centre is maintained to ensure the safety of employees and visitors

Lead a team to deliver excellent customer service through provision of regular training and development opportunities

Manage banking, cash management and financial reporting

To be successful in this role you will possess:
A minimum of three years experience in a customer facing leadership/management role

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Sound level of computer skills and experience

An ability to lead a large team with competing priorities

Safe Food Handling Training/Certificate III in Hospitality or similar. Barista experience is desirable

Education/working with children experience will be highly regarded

A tourism/education or customer management degree would be highly desirable

This is a permanent full time position and has five direct reports. Weekend work may be required from time to time.
