Currently seeking an Operations Assistant to join the team.

The Operations Assistant is responsible for the management and the execution process of the Screening products in the Production facilities, which includes but not limited to:

Product/Project Costing & Estimating
Product and Project execution Management
Sourcing strategies at operational planning level
Procurement and detailed planning activities (Capital and Refurbished Screens)
Product and operations Quality; HSE and Sustainability

The Assistant must be able to monitor and take actions to achieve and improve the overall performance of the screening products as well as to ensure product availability, quality, and on-time delivery with Shopfloor/Production employees. Proficient in SAP Production Planning as its one of the key modules in ERP and deals with planning processes, such as capacity planning, material planning, execution of production order, bill of material and goods movement.

MAIN REPONSIBILITIES

Estimate the cost for the screening product line: Capital (including projects); spares and screening media
Anticipate, analyze, resolve and escalate project issues throughout the organization
Review vendor quotes for accuracy, technical equalization (projects), and help guide cost negotiations with manufacturing vendors and Metso procurement organizations.
Plan and manage the execution of the products and projects ensuring the cost forecast, lead time and quality
Creation of SAP project structures
Supplier assessment and monitoring.
Identification of potential cost overruns for each project
Continuous monitoring of the project, sales and earnings trends and all capacities and developing measures of budget variances
Project coordination and the interface between the sales organization, customers, suppliers, and internal departments such as engineering and accounting regarding contractual matters, delivery schedule, terms of payments, etc.
Anticipate, analyze, resolve and escalate project cost issues throughout the Product and Sales organization
Plan and manage the execution of the goods and projects ensuring the cost forecast, lead time and quality
Resolve interface issues between regional sourcing and engineering, identify and remove barriers to ensure no-stop deliveries
Creation and control of project cost estimates and ensure the standard conformal mapping of projects in the ERP system and elaborations of the analysis, evaluation and decision documents in the context of the projects in a structured and appropriate for the target representation.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Relevant Experience qualified within Production planning and Procurement environments or bachelor’s degree.
Five to ten (5 to10) years' work experience in production planning, sourcing, procurement, and supplier development
Desirable experience in strategic sourcing, cost modeling, contract management, supplier development and total cost of ownership
Project management skills to deliver executed outcomes
Able to read and interpret technical specifications from blueprints
Knowledge about various industrial manufacturing processes
Possesses business acumen, strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong leadership with the ability to develop and deploy strategy through detailed action plans
Effective communicator and negotiator
Strong analytical skills and Demonstrated timeliness and accuracy
Strong knowledge of core production, quality, SAP APO concepts and principles and an intimate understanding of current trends in this area.
Excellent customer handling skills and the ability to win customers trust and confidence based on your expertise in the Manufacturing area
Good experience in leading and managing business user especially those that are distributed.
Supporting business user on day to day issues & Change Request Process in manufacturing area
Uncompromising attitude towards achieving results and an infectious level of energy
Excellent skills in SAP, excel, and presentations
