Cairns Regional Council is currently seeking an Administration Officer to join our Water & Resource Recovery Department.

Primary Objective of the position:

  • The primary function of this role is to provide administrative and reception support; and perform as part of a team to support the day-to-day operation of the laboratory operations.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Current Queensland Driver’s Licence or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an autonomous administration role.
  • Competent word processing and database skills and ability to broaden computing experience with other packages. Including the ability to review and verify data.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills with a focused and responsive approach to managing enquiries whilst maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • High level of oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of internal and external clients.
