The Claims Systems Specialist role is a newly created position and will work within a cohesive team responsible for leading the transition management from delivery to business as usual, working with the relevant business and technology teams to establish robust process and procedures.

This role works collaboratively with the Continuous Delivery team and as a Claims System subject matter expert, it will be important to translate and analyse the technology solution to ensure it meets the needs of the business in practice.

In addition to this, the Claims Systems Specialist will provide expert advice and training to the operational Claims business units to optimise the use of the Claims Systems and to ensure data quality is maintained.

The ideal candidate will likely have a strong background in claims and be technologically savvy or have experience in claims systems project work or alternatively come from a similar systems specialist role within Life Insurance.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Operational Claims System support and training to claims team

  • Providing tools where appropriate to support claims business unit

  • Subject Matter Expert advice on claims systems for stakeholders and projects

  • Supporting Claims Technology with business requirements

  • Communicating with stakeholders (third parties/Vendors, internal tech team, business teams, sponsors, etc)

  • Working cross-functionally to align internal & external stakeholders on product increment goals & priorities for achieving business readiness for initiatives such as identifying & tracking business dependencies

  • Continuous improvement and data quality

  • Documentation and maintenance of policies and procedures

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Experience with Fineos claims system will be advantageous

  • Exceptional customer service and service-oriented approach

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with positive and practical approach to customers

  • Highly organised, excellent time management and the ability to multi-task

  • Demonstrated ability to operate with high levels of integrity

  • Deadline orientated

  • Strong analytical skills

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Professional suite (particularly Excel, Word)

  • Discretion and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information

  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of the team
