Marist180 is now seeking applications from an experienced, supportive and collaborative Senior House Manager lead our team of passionate House Manager within the Residential arena.

Job Description

The position

This role is designed to focus on quality, capacity and capability of operational staff within the residential care service, and address the needs of the young people in our programs.

Primary accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Support and training of House Managers and Youth Workers to complete to an appropriate standard their respective responsibilities.
  • Monitoring and identifying areas for improvement of the House Manager and Youth Worker’s direct work with young people in the residential and community setting.
  • Ensuring rosters are complete and supporting House Mangers to improve their ability to produce rosters in advance and reduce variability in allocation of residential staff.
  • Monitoring performance data and supporting staff to complete documentation requirements and ensuring Care Teams are supporting Youth Workers to understand the goals established and ways of working with each young person in care.
Desired Skills and Experience

The candidate

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, or similar field.
  • Relevant Diploma in Social Work, Human Services or similar field and working towards a bachelor’s degree (must be enrolled and undertaking studies).
  • Demonstrated trauma related training.


  • Demonstrated experience in working with children and young people experiencing complex trauma and working with families within the child protection system.
  • Demonstrated experience assisting staff to support young people.
  • Experience in a Leadership role within the industry.
  • Ability to recruit and manage staff.
  • Sound communication skills and experience liaising with key stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams.

Work Requirements:

  • Working with Children Check.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Clear National Criminal History Check.
  • Unrestricted NSW driver’s licence.
  • Ability to work in Australia.
