About The Role

Due to an exciting stage of growth within the team, we are seeking a Project Manager – Operational Technology to manage capital Operational Technology projects to create new engineering assets that satisfy the operational objectives of stakeholders and are on time, to budget, and within technical and Occupation, Safety and Heath, Environmental and Quality standards. With your substantial experience with Operational Technology infrastructure and assets, you will provide advice on project delivery strategies to assist the efficient delivery of the Operational Technology program, and integration with other programs of work.

What The Role Will Offer
  • Execute the project in accordance with the Business Unit's Project Management Procedures and OSH, Environmental and Quality Management Systems.
  • Collaborate with support from line management on multiple projects and engage with internal and external stakeholders and customers.
  • Monitor, control, review and forecast project outcomes including time, cost and quality.
  • Manage project risks, ensuring these are captured, mitigated and monitored.
  • Advise on project effectiveness, risks and outcomes and prepare progress reports accordingly.
  • Ensure External Approvals are obtained for all projects including Statutory and Regulatory approvals.
  • Prepare and/or review Board Papers, Priority One submissions, media releases or other key stakeholder reporting necessary for the successful delivery of capital projects.

Key Skills And Experience
  • Degree level qualification in engineering, project management or relevant discipline.
  • Extensive experience in and sound knowledge of providing engineering project management services, demonstrated as experience in and sound knowledge of:
  • Managing all phases of asset acquistion projects,
  • Tendering and contract award processes,
  • Contract administration,
  • Supervising an engineering planning / design / investigation / construction team.
  • Substantial experience with Operational Technology infrastructure and assets.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality project management principles and practices relating to the function of the area to which this position is attached.
  • Considerable knowledge of planning, design and construction of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), instrumentation and communications infrastructure
  • Strong experience in vendor management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate successful outcomes with stakeholders of all levels
  • Certification as a “Project Management Professional” by the Project Management Institute, USA, or similar project management qualification would be high desirable, combined with knowledge of complex water related infrastructure assets, schemes and systems.
