Are you a content marketing specialist with superior writing skills and a passion for creating engaging, omni-channel marketing experiences for B2B and B2C customers? We are seeking an experienced Content Marketer to join our team in Macquarie’s Banking and Financial Services.

As an integral part of the content team, you will work with our channel marketing teams across Personal Banking, Business banking and Wealth Management to ideate and develop content plans that align to our overarching content, marketing and business strategies and play a crucial role in ensuring our messaging in market aligns to our brand strategy and customer value propositions. Your role will involve end-to-end project management of thought leadership programmes, from ideation through to execution and distribution – across a range of mediums including video, written and digital.

An editorial mindset, with an eye for a good story and relevant and timely content topics, is key to the success of this role. You will need superior writing and editing skills, with a high commercial awareness – and you’ll be just as confident writing compelling content in long form as you are in short form. You should possess exceptional grammar and proofreading skills, have strong attention to detail and demonstrated delivery skills across a range of media. A good understanding of distribution channels including social media is essential. An acute understanding of process and managing risk is also fundamental to this role.

On a day to day basis you will work closely with colleagues who are subject matter experts across creative design, performance marketing, digital and data analytics to optimise our approach to content to suit a variety of distribution channels and use cases. You will manage the work of external vendors and also collaborate with senior business stakeholders to ensure our content engages and inspires B2B and B2C audiences. This may involve designing content experiences that break down complex topics in interesting and relatable ways to articulate the value proposition of our products and services more clearly. You will be equally motivated by content creation, performance, and optimisation, with a core focus on data and turning the numbers into valuable learnings for future initiatives.

Preferred candidates will be strategic thinkers who have 5-8 years’ content marketing experience in both B2B and B2C environments, ideally in financial services or consulting. A tertiary qualification in journalism, media and communications, finance, business, economics or commerce is preferable, as you will be required to ideate and edit content on these topics for informed audiences. You will have a track record of being a strong team player with a proven ability to build deep collaborative relationships. A demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines and manage comprehensive approvals processes is preferable.
