Why this role?

KONE are looking for a Senior Safety Advisor to drive improvement of safety performance. You will work with management to drive and maintain safety awareness and manage competences, resources, procedures and guidelines affecting safety.

This is a dynamic role where you will work flexibility between the office (Mascot based) and on site across Sydney and Canberra to both educate and influence on safety best practise.

This role will suit an individual with both a mechanical and operational mindset, who is passionate about safety and can act as a trusted advisor for the business.

What will you be doing?

  • Driving improvement of safety performance and safety culture
  • Achieving KONE's safety targets by developing and maintaining a safety focused culture
  • Overseeing the delivery of regular internal and external reporting requirements
  • Facilitating and monitor compliance to KONE's OHS policies and procedures
  • Coaching and mentoring broader staff and managers on safety
  • Driving key projects with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Overseeing the injury management process
  • Implementing processes and procedures effectively to manage the safety of sub-contractors
Are you the one?
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (WHS Degree or equivalent)
  • Experience gained within a commercial environment – ideally construction, electrical, chemical or transport industries
  • Fantastic communication skills – ability to engage and facilitate training
  • Previous experience with workers compensation is highly advantageous
  • Ability to coach, mentor and influence all level of stakeholders
  • Resilient and persevering approach
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and engage people
  • An authorised driver’s license and flexibility to drive to site is essential
