Job Description

How will I help?

The role purpose is to provide leading risk oversight, insight and control by achieving critical business and portfolio outcomes, including risk / reward and operational risk effectiveness. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager Credit (Property) and be responsible for providing professional and proactive management of the portfolio to ensure optimal credit quality and effective account control.

You will ensure that credit decisions are communicated in a constructive manner with consideration of suggestions or alternatives to make the risk acceptable. In addition, you will be providing regular insight of local portfolio to recognise and monitor trends, loss / provision ratios, early identification of deteriorating credits, risk / reward returns and remedial strategies and reviews these as appropriate.

You will maintain a partnership approach to achieve the best outcomes for customers and the organisation as well as work collaboratively with property specialist bankers.

What do I need?

You will have banking/financial services experience across a broad range of disciplines with at least 3 years of experience originating and/or approving credit transactions within Business and Property segments.

This role is a Property Credit risk centric role hence good understanding of property risk will be well received.

You will contribute to a strong risk culture through an open mind to continuous improvement and change.
