How will I Help?
As the Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement Collections, you will be joining the Group Operations Business Unit where you will be a key member of the Business Assist Leadership Team. Your role will be paramount to helping contribute the delivery of Westpac’s vision and strategic priorities.

As the Senior Manager your role is paramount to helping deliver Westpac’s vision and strategic priorities. Shaping the future support mechanisms for everyday Australians requiring and assistance or experiencing hardship. Working with the Head of Business Assist, and closely with the Executive Manager of Strategy and Performance Optimisation, you will play a significant role improving the way we support customers in Business Assist. The importance of data driven decision making cannot be underestimated, you will use your connections and insights to provide recommendation on future requirements to optimise and advance Business Assist, helping uncover opportunities for performance optimisation, productivity, and improving customer experience.

You will be one of the key inputs into the Business Assist strategy, working with Senior leaders within Customer Assist to bring the Customer Assist vision to life ensuing it remains updated and relevant. You will play a key role in transforming the day-to-day and future of collections, ensuring we optimise collecting whilst we are ensuring caring for our customer.

What do I need?
You will have 5-7 years proven continuous improvement and strategy experience from a similar role ideally within banking & finance or a large organisation. From you prior experience you will have excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts including Six Sigma, lean & value stream mapping and you will have the ability to set-up, facilitate and lead service improvement sessions with a range of business stakeholders.

You will have experience in designing or implementing a framework of continuous improvement in multi-location organisations, experience with programs specifically in debt collections and recoveries and in large scale and highly regulated environments with a strong understanding of risk management and risk awareness, and experience designing remediation plans to address productivity and efficiency issues with a track record of following through to ensure closure.

Your communication skills, both written and verbal, will be sound and you will have the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of Partners, Senior Managers, and subject matter experts. You will have strong analytical, project and product management skills and experience of the whole project life cycle.
