This role will be responsible for performing group level financial accounting activities, maintaining the general ledgers for a number of local and foreign entities, assisting with the monthly tasks of the Financial Accountant team as well as playing a key role in the month end close process in your own right.

Responsibilities: -

  • Responsibility for assigned entity general ledgers, including posting weekly and monthly journals to ensure the accounts reflect a true and fair view of the financial position in a timely manner
  • P&L analysis
  • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly general ledger reconciliations in FloQast, including following-up/resolving any reconciling items, ensure closing balances are substantiated
  • Payroll accounting
  • Preparation of indirect tax (GST/VAT) calculations for review by the tax team
  • Ad hoc tax compliance support
  • Assist with the audits and financial statement preparation of your assigned entities with external service providers
  • Liaise with government agencies (as required) to assisting with economic/business surveys
  • Assisting with the collation of financial information for tender requests
  • Assisting with processing various inter-company transactions and preparing inter-company reports
  • Ad hoc group reporting

Other essential requirements: -

  • First or 2nd move out of Big 4 or large 2nd tier accounting firm 
  • CA/CPA full or part qualified with 2+ years post qualification experience
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Netsuite experience would be highly desirable but not essential
