Reporting to the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer the Manager Corporate Affairs & Sustainability is responsible for protecting and enhancing the Company’s reputation and license to operate, as well as leading the development and implementation of the Company’s sustainability and climate change strategy.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave and is based in our corporate office in West Perth. 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading the development and implementation of an integrated communications and stakeholder relationship strategy.
  • Providing strategic advice in the areas of government relations, external and internal communications, company branding, indigenous engagement, sustainability and climate change. 
  • Managing and developing external communications and marketing activities.
  • Developing and providing input into investor communications such as ASX announcements and reports.
  • Leading Pilbara Minerals’ engagement with Local, State and Federal Government.
  • Building and sustaining strategic professional networks and strong relationships across government, industry and community to generate advocacy and support for the Company.
  • Leading Pilbara Minerals’ community investment strategy.
  • Managing the development and execution of Pilbara Minerals’ sustainability and climate change strategy, including reporting.
  • Leading the development and delivery of internal communications and engagement activities across the business.
  • Maintaining brand integrity across company’s marketing initiatives and communications.
  • Represent the company and its interests at events and industry forums. 
  • Stay abreast of emerging issues and trends that are likely to impact the Company.


  • To be considered for this role:
  • Tertiary qualified and demonstrated comparable experience in corporate affairs, communications or public relations
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation and influential communications skills
  • Proven experience in developing marketing content and managing multiple medial channels, such as social media, company website and other online platforms
  • Experience in executing strategic external and internal communications, strategies and initiatives
  • A solid understanding of the political environment and government processes and experience in liaising with government bodies
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Proactive with high ethical standards and accountability.
  • Experience in the development of sustainability and climate change strategies and initiatives highly regarded
