What We Are Looking For

The Marketing and Internal Communications Advisor is an integral part of the Corporate Affairs team and will drive Rheinmetall Defence Australia’s branding position in the external market. The role will suit a self-motivated team member with an eye for detail and ability to meet competing priorities and will be charged with managing the company’s online platforms and physical branding elements.

The Marketing and Internal Communications Advisor also has carriage of sharing the company’s news and milestones with colleagues across a variety of mediums and events, ensuring peers are well informed and able to contribute to the company’s discussion. You will work closely with teams across the business to be their in-house advocate, and share story ideas and updates with the broader Corporate Affairs and Senior Leadership teams.

As Marketing and Internal Communications Advisor, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Monitoring and updating the company’s suite of marketing messages and resources to position RDA and its programs for success.
  • Management of the company’s physical and digital branding assets.
  • Management of RDA’s online presence, both internally and externally.
  • Working with vendors and suppliers to ensure RDA’s physical merchandise and collateral is on-message and ready to support the business
  • Identifying, interviewing, writing and publishing stories and updates for an internal audience.
  • Supporting the business at trade shows and events, and supporting the maintenance of marketing and communication databases and collateral corporate company presentations.

What Qualifications You Should Have

The experience and skillset best suited to this role include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or related Arts fields or extensive practical experience;
  • Experience in branding, web/intranet management and internal communications via emerging platforms;
  • Ability to maintain composure, balance workload and conflicting priorities and effectively handle difficult situations;
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with an ability to interact with all levels of staff and other internal and external stakeholders;
  • Advanced MS Office skills ie. Excel, Powerpoint and excellent Adobe Design Product skills;
  • Knowledge of emerging technology platforms to support internal communications;
  • Be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment screening; and
  • An ability to travel internationally and interstate when and if required.
