The Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) is an executive agency of the NSW Ministry of Health. We play an important role in protecting the health and safety of the public by supporting the 15 NSW Health Professional Councils in managing complaints about NSW health practitioners.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and proactive Senior Project Officer – Quality to assist providing expert advice, formulate strategic and innovative solutions and oversee the development, review and evaluation of new policies, business and process improvements, and risk management activities to enhance the achievement of Council and HPCA objectives and functions.

What you'll be doing
You will need to work with Council teams and the ICT team to develop:

  • Process maps, procedures, checklists and associated tools that describe and support the new way of doing business for Council teams
  • The case management model
  • The processes for monitoring health practitioner compliance with conditions on their practise
  • Performance measures to monitor the impact of improvement initiatives and to develop new proposals

Essential Requirements
You will need excellent communication, negotiation, project management and change management skills. Experience in developing or maintaining operational procedures in a regulatory environment (or similar) is not mandatory but will be highly regarded.


This role offers the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to further develop and enhance their skills. We also offer flexible working hours, and a supportive work environment. The position is based at the newly refurbished HPCA Pitt Street offices, located only a short walking distance from Central Station and Belmore Park.
