The Opportunity

The Learning Resource Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of frontline customer focused learning resources and information services and contributing professional expertise to the development, delivery, promotion and evaluation of libraries and information services in a vocational education and training environment.

You’ll love this role if you:

  • Like to liaise with a range of educational, support and administrative staff to ensure the most up-to-date resources and programs are used in the delivery of library products and services.
  • Would enjoy contributing to the assessment, development and implementation of current and emerging library resources, technologies and services to support the educational goals of TAFE NSW.
  • Would like to assist with quality assurance and continuous improvement to provide consistency and best practice.

Reporting to the Manager, Learning Resource Centres this position:

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the library including the development, delivery, promotion, and evaluation of the library to ensure high quality service provision.
  • Implements library and information management projects to extend the opportunities to improve and promote the library capability in supporting educational delivery.
  • Contributes to the design, implementation, and evaluation of information literacy skills workshops for staff and student to support lifelong learning. Including online support of staff and students via various platforms.

If you have….

  • Degree or post-graduate qualification in library and information studies and/or eligible for associate membership (Library and Information Science) of the Australian Library and Information Association.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide frontline, high quality customer-focused library and information services.
  • Demonstrated maintenance of currency in existing and emerging technology particularly those relating to VET delivery methods and techniques.
  • Demonstrated collaborative approach to the research, evaluation and recommendation of appropriate technologies and services to support the goals of a large organisation.
  • Ability to work outside standard working hours.
  • The ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.
