Role Purpose:

This position supports the Regulatory & Compliance Technology Domain in a technical capacity as an Application Support Developer.

This role is primarily responsible for supporting high availability business applications and highly demanding business requests in a courteous, efficient, and effective manner. You will be required to provide an outstanding level of customer service while executing proficient technical support for our applications and associated customers.

The successful applicant will need to be well versed in Data Warehouse principles, ETL Tools and all around architecture. The successful applicant will have previous 1st, 2ndand 3rd Level Support experience as well as SQL Development experience.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

As an Application Support Developer you will be required to:

Ensure that ANZ Change and Incident management processes are followed

Develop and maintain systems documentation

Receive phone calls and manage requests from customers, business stakeholders and project resources

Determine and resolve issues promptly using excellent communication skills to deliver resolution to customers and relevant teams

Technical troubleshooting for issues raised

Escalate problems where necessary

Identify, recommend, and plan technical and business process improvements for our services, such as automating repetitive tasks

Develop relationships that encourage and facilitate new initiatives to support and enhance business systems inc teams in Melbourne, Sydney, Bengaluru, and Singapore

Ensure queries and complaints are dealt within a courteous, effective, and timely manner

Work outside of business hours to assist with major software deployments or assist with problem resolution with issues that may occur in overnight batch runs

Actively support ‘Release Manager’ in implementing quality improvement initiatives

Actively participate in stabilising systems

Actively participates in cross training initiatives and share experiences and lessons learned with fellow colleagues 

About You

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Strong knowledge and experience with MS SQL, XML

Strong knowledge and experience in scripting, database queries, application and server troubleshooting, log file analysis

Solid knowledge in .NET software support

Previous experience in providing application support and managing enterprise applications

Excellent initiative and problem solving capacity with the ability to multitask
