About the Role

We are looking for a Recruitment Partner to join our friendly and supportive Emerald based team. The successful applicant will come with a variety of work and life experience, a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to look ‘outside the box’, when developing tailored pathways to employment, for our customers who have a disability, illness or injury. Role responsibilities include:

Networking with Community organisations who work with people with a disability, illness or injury, to explain our services and attract those in our community who need support looking for work
Engaging with employers and gaining an understanding of the local labour market to identify new and ongoing employment opportunities for our customers
Developing strong relationships with customers, both face to face and over the phone, to understand their capacity to work, their employment preferences and what support, skills and knowledge they need to secure suitable employment
Maintaining regular employer and customer contact after they start work to review their progress and ensure any issues are actioned swiftly
Assisting our customers to become job ready
Working with other local community services where required to address any barriers to employment that our customers may be experiencing

About You

We are looking for passionate people who genuinely want to assist others in our local community; addressing any barriers that prevent our customer from securing ongoing, meaningful employment. You don't need to have experience in our industry, however, here are a few things we are looking for:

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to an ongoing changing environment (this is a must!)
The ability to build rapport and communicate with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds and life experience
You're not afraid to seek out and consult with local employers and community organisations to develop employment opportunities for our customers
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, in a high performance, results focused culture
A current valid Driver’s Licence and Blue Card (Working with Children Check) (or ability to obtain prior to commencement) - you will also be required to undertake a National Police Check prior to commencement
If you need to apply for a Blue Card and you are successful in securing the role, we will reimburse you the cost of the check
