About The Role

In support of the Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) Asset Class Prime Contractor (ACPC) Program, the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Lead is responsible for providing specialist engineering support during the development and execution of ILS activities for the SEA 2048 Phase 6 (LHD Capability Assurance Program (CAP)) project.

ILS Lead

Provide Logistic Engineering Services (not Limited To)

  • Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) services
  • Participate/lead availability, reliability, and supportability modelling
  • Conduct Obsolescence Studies
  • Contribute to the support for new materials and component suppliers
  • Assist/lead sparing studies for both the Mission System and the Support System
  • Life Cycle Cost (LCC) modelling
  • Conduct technical reviews of third-party ILS engineering deliverables
  • Provide assurance that appropriate engineering controls are in place and are effective consistent with the requirements of Australian Naval Publication Suite
  • Lead the “Safety First” culture throughout NSM
  • Identify and contribute to opportunities for improvement of processes, procedures, and systems
Essential

About you
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of conducting ILS/LSA activities
  • Ability to identify and develop logistic support requirements
  • Experience in a Defence environment
  • Knowledge and experience of using Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) tools
  • Experience in technical specifications / technical documentation
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills
  • Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
  • MUST be an Australian Citizen
Desirable
  • Qualifications in Engineering or Integrated Logistics Support
  • Previous experience with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and/or the Capability, Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG); Proven record of management and compliance within an engineering governance structure
  • Working knowledge of Asset Management best practise
  • Experience in Naval Technical Regulatory System and/or Defence Seaworthiness Management System (DSwMS)
  • Experience in the Systems Approach to Defence Learning
Essential

Compliance Requirements
  • Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Defence Security Clearance to Negative Vetting-1 level
  • No restrictions to access FOUO level or ITAR controlled material
