Dendy Cinemas is one of Australia’s leading independent cinema chains featuring a wide selection of quality films and the home of special film events, film festivals, retro and classic film events, red carpet previews, Q&A screenings, Club Dendy and the Premium and Dendy Lounge.

We are seeking a full time Communications Coordinator to work in our Newtown, Sydney head office (flexibility to do some days from home) looking after the national social media accounts and the website for the Dendy Cinemas brand.

This is an exciting entry level opportunity and we want someone who is passionate about film and cinema, loves social media, copywriting, is an excellent communicator and has at least one-two years experience working within a social media / marketing role.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

Manage all Social Media copy, images and video content for Dendy Cinemas including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

Schedule and confirm upload as per agreed plan

Solicit Distributor reposts/retweets etc for relevant films

Plan, brief and execute all distributor ad. campaigns on social and prepare post-campaign reports for distributors

Provide planning and content direction and oversight for local cinema generated Twitter activity and other social media portals as required.

Research social media trends & topics to inform planning and creative development as well as drive highly responsive re-posting/re-tweeting as relevant

Ensure all relevant content and offers are being accurately included in the communications planning

Present weekly social results in the weekly cinemas meeting

Produce & circulate monthly social reports

Website maintenance including troubleshooting; tagging and uploading; liaise with website provider

Website updates by location including changing homepage carousel banners; event / competition pages and any other changes or updates.

Write copy and create special event pages on the website

Uploading new Premium menus (PDF) on website

Manage consumer enquires relating to website performance and issues

Coordinate website reporting via Google Analytics
