About This Opportunity

An opportunity exists to provide a high level of executive assistance and administrative support to the Executive Dean, and oversee the administrative support function to other senior officers within the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences.

This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining appropriate standards and protocols to support the smooth and efficient operations of the Faculty Office and the relationships between the Faculty Office and the six Schools and six Centres within the Faculty. This position will also contribute to the development and delivery of academic programs in the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment - you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will have a degree partnered with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience in executive support administration at a university executive level and/or education/training. You will have a sound knowledge of university organisation structures and functions partnered with a broad understanding of university corporate systems, or a capacity to rapidly gain such skills.

You will have experience at an executive support level in a large and fast-paced workplace environment. You will also have extensive experience providing high level administrative support including experience working independently. Experience in the supervision and mentoring of staff is also highly advantageous.

It is essential you have the ability to handle and maintain workplace confidentiality, exercise initiative and judgement supported with excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing work demands, to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.

You will have extensive experience with Microsoft Office and have excellent accuracy, analytical skills and a high attention to detail. A high level of interpersonal and communication skills is also essential.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, continuing role at HEW Level 6.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $80,784.26 - $86,768.42 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be $94,517 - $101,518 p.a.).
