The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a talented individual to join the team as an IT Operations Manager located at RAAF Base Amberley as part of the Air Combat Electronic Attack Sustainment Program (ACEASP).
The IT Operations Manager is responsible for leading information technology support teams in the Air Combat Electronic Attack Sustainment Program and providing strategic ICT guidance and advice to the program.

  • Have the opportunity to work on an operational Air Force base, working closely with Boeing's subcontractors to provide outstanding service and support to the RAAF customer

To be successful the candidate will be able to convey their knowledge and experience in the general, technical and behavioural competencies outlined in the attached job classification, with the most imperative being:

Essential Criteria:
  • Experience leading an Information Technology (IT) or IT Network team or project in the Defence or aviation fields
  • Experience and understanding of strategic planning with regard to ICT operational support and availability
  • Experience and understanding of project scheduling and budget management
  • High level of customer service and interpersonal communications skills, including engaging stakeholders at all levels
  • Understanding of the software life-cycle methodology of SRR/PDR/CDR
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements, and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance to the level of Negative Vetting 2, or above.
Desirable criteria:
  • Experience maintaining and supporting Authorised Maintenance Organisations (AMO) and Authorised Engineering Organisations (AEOs) in the management and delivery of Instructions of Continuing Airworthiness (ICA) in hardcopy, electronic and within automated systems
  • Experience maintaining and supporting Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMS)
