Programmed Skilled Workforce is a leading provider of managed workforce and training services.

We are currently recruiting for Flashbutt & Aluminothermic (AT) Welders, based in the Pilbara region of WA. Our client is a global leader in the iron ore industry and is recognized for their innovation and development of world class infrastructure and mining assets.

Positions available for Flashbutt and Aluminothermic (AT) welders to join our dynamic, supportive and diverse teams. Positions are available for FIFO or residential candidates with excellent competitive rates for an industry leading rail team.

About your new role:
  • Rail maintenance Flashbutt Teams
  • Aluminothermic (AT) Welding
  • Mobile Flashbutt Welding
  • Safely plan, prepare and execute work using correct processes
  • Correctly finish all work to specifications
  • Quality control
  • Operate all mobile equipment safely both on and off track
  • Operating in a team environment
About you:
  • Must hold a National Flashbutt Welding Certificate (TLIW3016) or National Aluminothermic Welding Certificate (TLIW3015)
  • Previous experience in Flashbutt welding or Aluminothermic welding in a maintenance or construction environment
  • Hold a current HR Driver's license
  • A positive attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Ability to pass a category 1 medical
Desirable qualifications but not essential:
  • Cert III in Rail Infrastructure
  • C2 - Slewing Mobile Crane
  • DG - License to perform Dogging
  • EX - Conduct Excavator Operations
  • FEL - Front End Loader
  • First Aid Training
