This role will assist with the allocation of resources, maintenance of plant and equipment and facility related projects at the Toowoomba facility. Facility, project management, communication and interpersonal skills will be highly regarded to ensure the successful and safe use and operation of a high profile multiuser facility. Knowledge and skills in Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S), risk management and compliance would also be highly regarded.

As a project officer, you will:

  • Manage all Facilities aspects
  • Assist people over the phone and face to face
  • Schedule and coordinate workshop locations, venues, dates and other associated requirements
  • Coordinate, administer and support communication activities associated with the program and associated events
  • Monitor and report on the status of program delivery and customer feedback
  • Access, operate and maintain databases, process information, and contribute to capturing and sharing program learnings.


  • Analyses, interprets and solves difficult problems, engaging team and management input to provide accurate and timely solutions.
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal and external clients in order to meet expectations and improve service delivery.
  • Maintains ethical standards of behaviour, takes responsibility for own actions, and understands when confidentiality must be maintained.
  • Supports a culture of achievement, strives for quality outcomes and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, manages risks that may impede success.
  • Applies extensive technical and practical knowledge and skills in facility and asset management including electronic record keeping. to perform the job at a high level of accomplishment


  • Experience in a similar role is essential
  • Previous Government experience is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to liaise and consult with customers, staff and stakeholders in a friendly and appropriate manner
