About the role

Viterra is seeking a Field Services Officer to be the key contact point for training, advice and support in relation to Inventory, Food Safety and Quality. Based in Port Lincoln, the role provides support remotely and on site, and also works with the Inventory Management group to ensure that additional support is provided when required.

Duties may include but are not limited to

  • Visit sites to provide Inventory, Quality and Food Safety advice and support
  • Lead and conduct monitoring programs at site
  • Audit Viterra facilities against Food Safety and Quality standards
  • Conduct investigations, report on findings and close out corrective action
  • Complete inventory Clearances and Weigh over
  • Train and support operational staff / classification trainers on classification standards, procedures and equipment
  • Participate in development and implementation of classification procedures, documentation, training and technologies
  • Support other members of the Field Services team

About you

  • Minimum of 2 years Grain Commodity Classification and operational experience in the grain handling industry
  • Certificate 4 Training and Assessment
  • Knowledge of ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems is desirable.
  • Internal audit experience would be highly regarded
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive
