Full Job Description
Oversee the strategic delivery and updating process of content on the National website and associated channels. Play a leading role in shaping and delivering the company’s content communications plans in line with broader business objectives, while guiding and mentoring a team of writers and freelance contributors/contractors. Become an expert in the company’s key finance verticals and provide relevant industry insights to the wider team.

As the Content and Communications Manager you will be a key internal ambassador for the communications department, work very closely with the SEO, Design and Brand teams, while leading their team in the delivery of BAU writing tasks and content management. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, have an insatiable desire to continually learn and develop their team, and have proven/relevant experience in managing deadline-driven content workflow in a large publishing organisation.

Key Accountabilities

Oversee the delivery of all digital content production and management
Responsible for quality control, publication and coordination of team priorities

Ensure compliance of content with:
Legal/regulatory requirements
SEO requirements
Business and commercial requirements
Communications strategy
Facilitate and contribute to team brainstorming and ideation
Drive multiple, simultaneous projects in a results-focused environment
Coordinate people, resource and budgets to ensure continual project delivery
Foster professional growth within the content production team

Key Requirements

More than five years of digital publishing experience
A genuine interest in finance topics and desire to help consumer better-navigate their options
Highly developed editorial and communications skills
Strong understanding of SEO content production and best-practice
Capability and desire to manage a team of passionate writers and editors
Skilled at both long-form content creation and real-time (immediate) content creation
Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end content workflow and approvals
Ability to translate complex or technical information to a range of stakeholders and audiences
Ability to work with cross-functional teams as a key team player, or autonomously
Project management skills to manage editorial schedules, deadlines and priorities
Formal qualifications in journalism, communications, etc. (desirable)
