About the role The overall purpose of the Career Development and Employability Teaching Focused Academic is to contribute to the area of Career Development and Employability in the College of Sport and Exercise Science. The appointee will make considerable contributions to this area through engagement in teaching, management and coordination of units, the development of curriculum across the AQF levels, and engagement and development of relationships with industry. About the person The successful candidate will possess experience in education and practice in the area of career development and employability. It is essential that the appointee is degree qualified, preferably holding a Postgraduate qualification in Career Development and Employability. Proven ability to create and maintain professional relationships and networks is also essential. These requirements will require someone with high level organisational and time management skills and suit an individual who works well in fast-paced environments. Duties Some Duties you may perform will include: Design innovative curricula and develop learning materials in collaboration with other colleagues as appropriate Develop and facilitate learning activities online, distributed, face-to-face or in a blended capacity as appropriate, which stimulate and foster student learning and which reflect a command of the discipline and contemporary pedagogic practices Undertake a range of administrative functions connected with the unit/cluster/course taught, including moderation and assessment of student work. Contribute to student placements including student visits at host organisations, administration of contracts and policy and process development associated with external partnerships management.
